DRY YOUR EYES
SONGS FOR HOPE
Inspiring themes dedicated to the victims of DANA in Spain.

“Dry Your Eyes“. This song by Neil Diamond closed the album “Beautiful Noise“, published in 1976. Frank recorded “Dry Your Eyes” between September 27 and 28, 1976, with an arrangement by Don Costa and maintaining the solemn tone, almost epic, from the original version.
As a curiosity, it is worth mentioning that on June 21, 1976, Frank recorded another Neil Diamond song, titled “Stargazer“, which also belonged to the album “Beautiful Noise“. I haven’t been able to find out if Frank ever thought about making an entire album of Neil Diamond songs, but it undoubtedly would have been a magnificent work. The songs were released as two singles and, unfortunately, went unnoticed.
Let’s go back to “Dry Your Eyes.” According to its author, it is inspired by Martin Luther King and the feelings that his assassination provoked. The lyrics invite us to dry our tears, raise our song and bravely face the vital struggle. It is a song of courage and hope, perhaps grandiose, but sincere and very appropriate for our present.
Those affected by DANA in Spain especially need to imbibe this spirit of resilience in the face of the titanic struggle they are facing.
All my love for them.Mahnuel Muñoz
