In March 1950, Frank Sinatra released his fifth studio album: “Dedicated To You“, which served as a prelude to the singer’s series of concerts at the Copacabana club in New York. It followed the line of previous works, in that it maintained a plot line, but with a much less cohesive result. The Columbia label dug deep into its archives to put together this collection. The oldest recording (“The Moon Was Yellow“) was no less than five years old, and the newest ones three years old… and in some cases that shows, because in the decade that began, tastes in popular music were changing rapidly and drastically; This is a difficult time for Sinatra, since his fame was affected by the aforementioned changes in trend and the scandals carried out by the artist, widely reflected in the press.
